Welcome on the official website for                              American Remembrance in South of Aisne

According to General James Conway, 34th commandant of the United States Marines Corps, there are three main battles in the history in the U.S.M.C : the battle of Guadalcanal and the battle of Iwo Jima, that refered to World War II, and the battle of Belleauwood in France, in reference to World War I.


Whenever a Marine is talking about being a Marine, he will always talk about Belleauwood.


Discover the heritage of World War I in the South of Aisne in France, US Cemeteries of Seringes-et-Nesles and Belleau, the fountain refered to Quentin Roosevelt death place in Coulonges-Cohan or the US Monument in Château-Thierry, one of the largest in the world, dedicated to the french and american friendship.


Today, down the village of Belleau, not far away from the devil dog fountain, a small museum has been erected in order to honor the memory of the soldiers dead in the area. We invite you to visit it when you come to the cemetery of Belleau.
