The 42nd Memorial Division

This 3 metres high bronze statue represents an American soldier carrying the dead body of his brother-in-arms. It was erected on the site of the old Croix Rouge farm, where a bloody battle took place envolving the 42nd Divison on July 26, 1918.

This bronze statue was the work of James Butler, a British artist who was a member of the Royal Academy of Art in London.
