The Vauthier markers

The Vauthier markers designed by Paul MoreauVauthier indicate the front line as it was on July 18, 1918.

This date marked the biginning of the Mangin offensive.

Château-Thierry was the first town to be liberated as a result of the offensive. That is why the Touring Club of France chose it as a marker in 1921.
